WEYMOUTH, Mass. (WHDH) – A Registry of Motor Vehicles employee was in court Thursday morning after he was reportedly caught with child porn.
Andrew Fanguiare, 48, was arrested at his home in Weymouth Wednesday night and charged with possession of child pornography.
The Mass. DOT’s IT division detected that his computer may have been used to access potentially inappropriate material.
“It's an ongoing investigation, um, there were pictures attached, there were exhibits attached to that search warrant that actually had child pornography images in it, so we want to make sure that's not a public document,” an attorney said.
Police say they found sexual pictures of two young girls and they claim Fanguiaire admitted using his work computer to trade child pornography.
The judge set bail at $5,000 with the condition that he be monitored via GPS as well as several other restrictions.
