Massachusetts Department of Transportation officials were forced to close all lanes of traffic on Interstate 495 for up to 30 minutes Friday afternoon for maintenance.
State Police conducted a “rolling roadblock” beginning at 3:15 p.m. as utility crews came in to repair a low hanging power line, according to a release.
Traffic in all six lanes was delayed while the line was secured and removed.
Update: @MassDOT says 495 Westborough has all lanes open.
Ramps from Rt 9 to 495 north and 495 southbound reopening.
