Wow! What a weekend by February standards! Temps in the 50s to near 60 with a good deal of sunshine and light winds. Hard to ask for much better weather this time of year.
While the temperature roller coaster peaked over the weekend, the downhill slide isn’t all that bad on this Monday morning. While it’ll be colder, it’ll be just seasonably cool with temps near 40 degrees this afternoon. Hey, at least we can keep the sunshine!
Tomorrow, clouds increase and we’ll catch a wintry mix tomorrow evening. This is storm #1 of 2. I don’t expect a lot of snow, a coating-1", followed by some sleet, freezing rain and rain. Watch for some slick spots tomorrow night, especially away from the coast.

Storm #2 rolls in Wednesday into Thursday. While rain won’t be heavy during Wednesday itself, drizzle, showers and an easterly wind will keep a dreary day in here. Icy spots and light freezing rain is still possible Wednesday morning inland, especially northwest of 495. Colder valley locations in interior northern Mass and southern NH may keep some freezing drizzle around into midday. Ice accumulations will be light, so the main concern is slick spots on untreated surfaces.
The rain picks up in intensity Wednesday night as a warm front punches in here. Localized downpours are likely into Thursday morning as the winds turn south and strong gusts kick in. Gusts may push 50mph by Thursday morning as temps surge into the mid to upper 50s. 1-2" in totality is expected with rain tapering off by midday Thursday. Minor splashover is possible along the south coast of New England during high tide on Thursday. North Shore/South Shore, no coastal flooding expected.

Cooler weather, closer to seasonal levels slide back in here to end the week and head into next weekend.
