No question, the cold’s grip still has a strong handle on us this morning, but as that grip loosens, the milder air starts to work in this weekend.  While it’s a cold start, it’s also a bright start with lots of sunshine in place along with a steady breeze aiding to enhance that chill.  That breeze continues through the day, but thanks to the southwest direction, the breeze starts to push in some milder air by this afternoon.  We’ll reach the lower 40s today for “The Game”, 50s tomorrow for the Pats and 60s on Monday!  The roller coast ride up begins today for sure.

In addition to the temperature ride up, we’ll deal with some rain moving in.  Most of the rain falls Monday morning, however, we may see a isolated light shower overnight tonight or even patchy freezing drizzle in Northern Worcester County or Southwestern NH.  Any precipitation ends early Sunday morning, leaving a dry day with clouds and breaks of sun.

Monday’s rain event is mainly for the morning, with dry hours and mild times in the afternoon as temps surge into the middle 60s.  Like a roller coaster reaching the top, we peak Monday late-day/evening temperature-wise before the decent begins.  Tuesday is dry and in the 50s and Wednesday is back into the 40s.

Wednesday is also where the questions begin on any potential storm.  Yes, just potential at this time.  I’ll leave the drop and flake on the 7day for now as rain to some wet snow late Wednesday into Wednesday night is possible, but that’s not set in stone.  What we’ll watch for, is an area of low pressure to form along a front that to our east of us.  As the low tracks up the coast, it’ll carry plenty of moisture, it’s just a matter of if it’s for us, or just the fish, pending the track of the storm.  This far out, the forecast models are all over the place thanks to a back and forth pattern of cold to warm to cold, so I won’t put a lot of stock into this system as of now in terms of trying to nail down details.

Storm or no storm, it appears colder and mainly dry on Thanksgiving Day as a colder pattern starts to settle back in for a bit.

Enjoy the weekend and Go Pats!
