"Now is not my time," Governor Chris Christie said.

Two days, two down, and maybe no more to go. As potential Conservative candidates melt, the real field is freezing, and the candidates you see may be all you'll get in the GOP primaries.

Mitt Romney has climbed back to the top of the Republican polls, where there are only three candidates with double-digit support.

Perry, who rocketed to first after announcing he'd run, has stumbled back to second, following a disastrous debate, which included this rambling criticism of Romney:

“I think Americans just don't know sometimes which Mitt Romney they're dealing with. Is it the Mitt Romney that was on the side of against the second amendment before he was for the second amendment? Was it — was before he was before the social programs…”

That earned Perry this ridicule on Saturday Night Live:

"Mitt Romney said he was for, er, against Obamacare, but what about Mitt Romney. I mean Mitt Romneycare. Was it? It was…”

Add in the unlikelihood Herman Cain will get the nomination, and the continued collapse of Michelle Bachman, and – right now – Mitt Romney looks stronger than he ever has:

"I can't control what other folks are going to do. All I can control is what I'm going to do,” Romney said.

People who actually know Presidential candidates are sometimes amazed they even think they can win.

So, I'm not amazed if anyone here who knows Mitt Romney is certain he doesn't have a chance.

But, they're wrong. He does.
