HANOVER, MASS. (WHDH) - Webster Street/Route 123 in Hanover is reduced to one lane Monday morning as crews work to clear a large branch that fell across the westbound lane, impacting wires, early Monday morning, Hanover Fire Department said in a tweet.
The Hanover Fire Department said westbound lanes remain closed as of 6:41 a.m. while the crews clear the remaining hazards, but all eastbound lanes are now open after officials said the road was “completely impassable” in an update earlier in the morning. Officials also warned residents earlier that they may experience “a brief loss of power” while work was being conducted.
The Hanover Fire Department first reduced the road to one lane at 5:42 a.m., advising drivers to avoid the area if possible. Hanover Fire then said in an update at 6:15 a.m. that the road was “completely impassable” and would be “closed until further notice” while National Grid worked on the scene.
