PRINCETON, Mass. (AP) — Runners have gathered to remember a New York City woman who was found dead a week ago after she went for a run near her mother’s Massachusetts home.

Family, friends and community members met Sunday night in Princeton, a rural town west of Boston, for a 3-mile run in honor of Vanessa Marcotte.

The 27-year-old Google account manager was found dead last Sunday night hours after she went for a run near her mother’s Princeton home.

Investigators believe she was attacked by a man and may have injured him in a struggle.

Authorities say they’ve received hundreds of tips but don’t have any suspects. They’re urging residents in the area to remain vigilant.

Authorities also say the attacker may have cuts and scrapes on his arms because they believe Vanessa fought back.

A wake will be held in Fitchburg Monday. The family is asking people to make donations to various volunteer organizations that were close to her heart rather than bring flowers.

The funeral will be held Tuesday in Leominster.
