A nanny in Salem is facing troubling charges after she was accused of being drunk on the job.

Susan Conway-Lily, 52, pleaded not guilty to a child endangerment charge on Thursday.

According to officials, a mother called police when she got home and heard her baby crying, but the nanny was so drunk she couldn’t open the door.

Firefighters then forced their way in using a pry bar and an ax.

The infant was not hurt.
