WALTHAM, MASS. (WHDH) - The trend of donating jewelry to the Salvation Army is continuing this holiday season.

Days following an auction of 60 jewelry items and raising more than $27,000 for the charity, a woman in Whitinsville dropped four rings into one of the Salvation Army red kettles.

And two diamond rings were also anonymously donated in Waltham and Northbridge.
