Xiao Ying Zhou appeared in court today on charges connected with a motor vehicle collision that led to her dragging an elderly woman with her car.
Zhou appeared in Boston Municipal Court Friday and was given $5,000 bail and surrendered her passport. She was also ordered not to drive and stay away from victims and witnesses while the case is pending.
Zhou is accused of striking and dragging the victim on Kneeland Street, dragging her down I-93, and eventually stopping on Columbia Road. The victim suffered severe traumatic injuries but survived the ordeal.
