Sarasota, Florida (CNN) — It was a police take down worth posting on social media.
A Sarasota police officer was responding to reports of an alligator in a front yard.
The animal proved no competition for the officer.
The tape on the gators mouth may have helped.
Turns out the alligator had recently been caught by a trapper but was stolen.
Still, the homeowner was impressed by the officer’s take down moves.
The alligator was delivered to two trappers by a state wildlife workers.
