A school bus was involved in a crash with a car in Sudbury Wednesday.

The bus from Algonquin Regional High School was involved in a crash with a car in the 300 block of Concord Street.

Sudbury Police Chief Scott Nix said a 73-year-old woman in the car had to be cut from the vehicle. She was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center with serious injuries.

Police said the school bus was carrying approximately twenty-five students from Algonquin Regional High school’s girls’ rugby team. Nine players and the driver suffered minor injuries.

The 73-year-old was last listed in critical condition.

The District Attorney’s office is assisting in the investigation.
