BARNSTABLE, MASS. (WHDH) - A school bus and a one-ton dump truck crashed at around 7:20 Monday morning, leaving the bus with “heavy damage,” according to the Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire Department.

When crews arrived to River Road near Rosa Lane, they were able to extricate the bus driver, who was then transported to South Shore Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The truck driver did not require extrication and was transported to Cape Cod Hospital with minor injuries. There were no students on the bus, and the driver was its only occupant.

Barnstable Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
