Scituate man crashes car, faces charges after speeding away from police

SCITUATE, MASS. (WHDH) - A 21-year-old Scituate man was injured after a police chase that ended with his car crashing into a backyard Doane Street Wednesday night.

The driver was speeding in a 2002 Honda car when he passed a police officer parked at a RADAR post.

The driver, noticing the police car, picked up speed before the officer could pullout to stop him.

The man turned onto Doane Street and lost control of his vehicle while turning. He drove through a backyard and crashed into a tree and was transported to South Shore Hospital by Cohasset Paramedics.

The man faces criminal charges for endangering other drives and will have his license revoked.
