ROCKLAND, Maine (AP) — Hey now, you’re a lobster, get the show on.
The Maine Lobster Festival is heading into its penultimate day on Saturday and 1990s rockers Smash Mouth will headline the Rockland shindig.
The festival began in the 1940s and has been luring seafood lovers to Midcoast Maine ever since. Saturday’s events also include The Big Parade as well as an all-day art show.
Lobsters are the main attraction, but the event is also known for blueberry pancakes, corn on the cob, steamed clams and fried haddock. The festival’s lobster serving schedule ends at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
