NANTUCKET, MASS. (WHDH) - The search is underway for a ship that sank off Massachusetts nearly six decades ago.
A Washington-based search team is the first to look for the Andrea Doria in 20 years.
Andrea Doria collided with another ship South of Nantucket back in 1956, killing 46 people.
The ship sank so deep in the water that 16 people have died trying to look for it.
The search team will be taking videos and 3D images of the shipwreck using a mini-submarine.
Divers will only be able to spend 20 minutes at a time exploring the wreckage because of how deep in the water it is.
