BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — A second priest has left a Roman Catholic church in Connecticut over an accusation that he violated church policies on conduct with children.

The Connecticut Post reports the Rev. Jose Rebaque has been suspended and ordered to vacate the rectory of Saint Peter’s Parish in Bridgeport.

Bishop Frank Caggiano says the diocese was notified in September that Rebaque shared a cabin with a 15-year-old boy on a cruise sponsored by the parish in January 2017.

He says while there are no allegations of abuse, Rebaque’s action was an “egregious violation of the diocesan code of conduct.”

Caggiano says Rebaque is temporarily moving into a home for retired priests in Stamford.

The Rev. Frank Gomez of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Bridgeport resigned from the parish in August over conduct violations.
