WHITMAN, MASS. (WHDH) - A second person has died after a fatal crash involving a wheelchair transport van and a car occurred Thursday in Whitman.
According to the Plymouth County District Attorney, the driver of the car succumbed to her injuries Sunday at South Shore Hospital. She was identified as 57-year-old Chelsea Golden of Duxbury.
The crash occurred on Route 14 in Whitman, when Golden drove head-on into a wheelchair transport van containing three individuals. Her passenger, 62-year-old Francine Laterza of Plymouth, was killed.
All three passengers in the van were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
