Police said a selfie on a cellphone left at a crime scene led them to the suspect.
Officers said they found a cellphone at a convenience store that had just been robbed Sunday night. On the cellphone was a selfie of suspect Richard Ormond. Police said the man in the selfie was wearing the same clothes as Ormond allegedly was when he was seen on surveillance video at the convenience store.
The selfie and other evidence led to Ormond’s arrest. Police said he was behind three convenience store robberies over the weekend. He was arrested and now faces several charges, including armed robbery.
