BOSTON (WHDH) - Senator Ed Markey has begun working to eliminate some travel headaches for airline passengers.
After last month’s terminal trouble left Delta Airlines grounded.
He’s asked airlines to make serious changes.
I.T. stands for ‘information technology’ but we need airlines to make it stand for ‘improving travel,” said Sen. Markey.
In a news conference at Logan Airport on Thursday, the senator called out the nation’s largest carriers for not doing enough to improve their tech infrastructure.
“A flight should be cancelled if there’s a super storm,” said Sen. Markey. “A flight should not be cancelled because a server or software is not working,” he added.
