First day of meteorological fall is upon us…So where is the crisp air? The brilliant cobalt blue sky? The colorful leaves?! The pumpkin beer?! The pumpkin latte’s?!?!……Hang on now…in due time, ALL of that will be here but for a few more weeks we have so remnants of summer to contend with.

Today we have a delightful late summer day with more sunshine but not nearly as hot as Monday (Boston hit 90) with most cities & towns along the coast near 80. Farther inland those temps also not as hot as Monday but still warm..mid 80s. Hump Day will offer a continuation of sunshine but we crank it up again as afternoon temps will close in on 90–even along the coast. Humidity also starts to creep up a bit. Thursday is likely a humid day with temps in the mid 80s. A cool front will drop out of northern New England late in the day and this may pop an isolated shower well inland.

This front won’t do anything for a dry spell-mini drought but it will usher in a hint of early fall weather on Friday….cobalt blue skies, low humidity, temps in the 70s……score yourself some pumpkin latte’s & pumpkin beer & your styling for the weekend. Oh wait…..temps head through the 80s for the Holiday weekend.
