Tennis ace Serena Williams posted on Facebook Wednesday about a man who took her phone while she was eating in a restaurant.
In her Facebook post, Williams credited her "superhero sense," with paying extra attention to a man who was standing too close to her while she was seated at a table.
All of a sudden, Williams said, "this common petty thief grabbed my phone and swiftly left."
Williams said she chased the man out of the restaurant and followed him, eventually tracking him down.
"Those sprints came in handy," she said.
Williams asked the man if he had accidentally taken the wrong phone, which he said he did.
In her post, she said she received a standing ovation when she returned to the restaurant, phone in hand.
"Just because you are a lady, don’t be afraid to step up to any challenge and not be a victim but a hero," she said.
