A severe thunderstorm warning is now in effect for Bristol County until 6:15 p.m.
According to the National Weather Service, the thunderstorm is capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 miles per hour as well as hail.
Impacted towns include Providence, New Bedford, Fall River, Warwick, Cranston, Dartmouth, Somerset and Bristol.
Drivers should prepare for low visibility.
