CHATHAM, Mass. (WHDH) — New Englanders have seen it summer after summer and this summer proved no different: a water warning for beachgoers on the cape, after at least one shark is spotted off the coast of Chatham.
The state police released a photo taken Monday of a shark in the waters near Chatham.
People on a fishing boat also reported a similar sighting.
It was not clear if it was the same shark.
No beaches were closed.
The sharks tend to make an appearance mid-summer on the Cape to feed on seals. There are plenty of them on the beaches along the Chatham coast.
