With the wind now back out of the south, temperatures this morning start warmer than where they were yesterday afternoon, and with the numbers near 50 this morning, we’ll have no problems reaching near 60 this afternoon. In fact, most towns top off in the lower to mid 60s this afternoon. With that said, it’s not a perfect Fall day, but overall a decent one.
We do track a batch of showers that is working through this morning, most prevalent into mid to late morning. By noon, most of the showers dry up, and this afternoon, I’d even expect some breaks of sunshine, especially by mid to late afternoon. Tailgating at Gillette? The best chance for showers is through 11:00AM. Kickoff, through the game looks dry with temps in the 60s.
The overall pattern ahead is chalked full of afternoons in the 50s and even a few 60s. That’s close to seasonable levels for this time of year as the average high runs in the upper 50s. Monday and Tuesday will be a bit cooler than that, but also the brightest.
The next best chance of widespread rain arrives late Wednesday into Thursday as a series of fronts move in ( a warm front, then cold front). Included in that set-up will be some moisture from the remnants of Patricia, which will allow for embedding downpours with the rain that moves through. The winds will be strong out of the south on Thursday too, and that strong southerly wind will bring in temps well into the 60s.
Longer range looks cooler, and quiet for Friday and Saturday with temps in the 50s during the day and 30s at night. Halloween is full of ghosts and goblins running around, but the current forecast is not so scary with trick or treat temps in the 40s and dry weather prevailing.
Go Pats!!!!!!!!!
