BOSTON (WHDH) - Shuttle buses temporarily replaced Green Line service between Government Center and Lechmere stations due to a power problem Wednesday night.

Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority officials warned commuters around 8:30 p.m. to expect delays due to a downed overhead wire at North Station.

Boston firefighters entered the tunnel where one of the trolleys became stuck and worked to carry a commuter in a wheelchair to safety.

The trains are not expected to reopen before the end of service.
