Not quite a repeat of yesterday – but this time of year, it’s hard to get two days in a row to highs 20° ABOVE normal! We were about 10 degrees cooler this afternoon when compared to yesterday, but still 10 degrees above normal. So, looking at the month of December so far, we’re running 8.1° above average! Incredible. Check out the breakdown below.
With the clouds and the cooler air creeping in from the ENE, temps were fairly steady through the day. The clouds are here to stay for a while, and that means temperatures will not free-fall overnight. Lows will be in the upper 30s for the coldest spots to the mid 40s close to Boston. Patchy fog will form, and we can’t rule out some areas of drizzle as well. It’s sort of a damp, cool night ahead – and a damp, cool Monday as well. However, it’s not the damp, cool feel you’d expect for December! Temps tomorrow will be in the low 50s through most of the day, and then climb to near 60° during the evening!
More widespread showers will work in during the evening tomorrow, but I don’t expect that to happen until after 8pm. Needless to say, tomorrow is more of a "hat day" than an umbrella day… that is, until dark. We’re not expecting a lot of rain out of this; generally between 0.50" and 0.75". Don’t be surprised if you see some lightning with this too. Not widespread – NOT severe (not even close), but some rumbles of thunder are not out of the question overnight Monday into early Tuesday morning.
The rain wraps up by early Tuesday morning, and temperatures will start us out in the upper 50s for the day… but then slowly fall as Tuesday wears on. The day is dry but will also feature some wind – so maybe another hat day? It will at least be a "don’t wear your hair down and lip gloss at the same time" kind of day. I hate that. Nothing worse than your hair getting stuck to your face! You with me, ladies? :c)
Another "cool" day on Wednesday – while we do get more sunshine, we’ll be back under the ENE flow which will keep temps in the mid 40s. Regardless though, the entire work-week is still above average… until we hit next weekend. Next weekend feels more like December.
Have a great night and GO PATS!
