For years a Canton couple dreamed of seeing James Taylor perform live. When an email mix-up caused them to cancel their plans, they thought they were out of luck. Until they contacted Solve It 7.

Pam and her husband were excited to see James Taylor perform.

“James Taylor was one concert that we always thought we’d love to see,” Pam said.

Two years ago, they bought these tickets to see his show at Tanglewood.

“It would be someplace that we could go together and really just enjoy the music,” Pam said.

But COVID hit, and the concert was postponed several times. It was finally rescheduled for July 4, 2022.

“We totally understood,” Pam said.

Then Pam got an email from her third-party ticket company saying the concert date had changed again, this time to August 31.

So, Pam and her husband stayed home on the 4th.

“We didn’t go. We had hotel reservations. We had planned to be there,” Pam said.

But the Boston Symphony Orchestra, which runs Tanglewood, says Pam’s ticket company made a mistake.

James Taylor did have the concert on July 4th.

“We were just really disappointed,” Pam said.

When Pam and her husband realized what had happened, they asked for a refund.

“They said, ‘Well, because the concert went forward. We cannot give you a refund,'” Pam said.

So, Pam emailed Solve It 7.

We contacted the ticket company, and they agreed to give Pam her money back.

And the story gets sweeter.

The BSO told James Taylor and his wife about Pam’s predicament, and they made her dream come true.

Pam and her husband were their special guests at his August show at the new MGM Music Hall at Fenway.

“It’s amazing. Totally heartfelt. We are really, really grateful,” Pam said.

“We’re thrilled. We’ve been waiting for this for a long time,” said Danny, Pam’s husband.

“Thank you so much. This never would have happened without you,” Pam said.

A representative from the ticket company tells us they did send Pam an email notifying her of the correct concert date, but Pam says she never got it.

We’re happy to help Pam, and if you have a problem you can’t solve “You’ve got a friend” in Solve It 7.
