TILTON, N.H. (AP) – Police have accused a man of peering at a 12-year-old girl at an outlet store dressing room in New Hampshire.

Police were called to the Gap Outlet at the Tanger Outlet Mall in Tilton on Sunday. They were told the man had climbed up to look over the wall at the girl, who was changing.

Police said the man was confronted by the girl’s mother. He pushed her away and fled in a car. An officer found a car that matched the description and arrested him.

Police said 30-year-old Eric Muldowney, of Somerville, Massachusetts, was charged with violation of privacy and simple assault.

He’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 20. It wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer, and a number couldn’t be found for him.
