CAMBRIDGE, MASS. (WHDH) - A Somerville man has been arrested in connection with an indecent assault on a teen.

On July 17 around 10 p.m., MBTA Transit Police responded to Kendall Square Station to investigate a possible assault.

When officers arrived, they met with the victim’s mother, who told them her 13-year-old daughter had been indecently assaulted while traveling on an MBTA bus.

The victim’s mother told police the suspect had just entered the station.

Officers found the suspect, 21-year-old Yunior Mayorga-Galvez of Somerville.

According to police, he was positively identified by witnesses.

He is being charged with indecent assault and battery on a person under 14.

He is expected to be arraigned Monday.
