EVERETT, MASS. (WHDH) - A human skull was found at a National Grid site in Everett Thursday morning.
The discovery was made Thursday around 11 a.m.
A cadaver dog hit on the pile after workers found what sources said is a human skull that looks to be female.
Officials said the human remains appear to have been exposed to the elements for at least a year.
Police are bringing in a command post and investigators will begin to dig for more evidence.
According to sources, detectives have already brought in a forensic anthropologist who confirmed the discovery.
