NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. (WHDH) - Sources tell 7News that two North Andover police officers were put on paid administrative leave after leaving the scene of a car crash in Pennsylvania.

The police officers were at a training session in Patton Township when sources said their unmarked cruiser hit a construction trailer. The officers allegedly kept driving.

Sources said the officers were charged with leaving the scene of an accident and causing property damage.

Statement from North Andover Police Chief:

Two North Andover police officers were alleged to have been involved in a motor vehicle accident while at a training session in Patton Township, Pennsylvania. Those two officers have been placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation. The town will have no further comments as it pertains to this matter until the investigation is complete.
