BOSTON (WHDH) — The Red Sox make a comeback to beat the Seattle Mariners 8-7.

It was the 5th inning, the bases were loaded for Henry Blanco and he unloaded it with a grand slam over the monster seats in left field. It was a tough night for Ryan Dempster, who allowed seven runs in six innings.

That was more than enough for Seattle’s ace, Felix Hernandez who surrendered just one run and struck out eight Sox batters. He left the game with a 7-1 lead.

The Sox bats beat on the Mariners’ bullpen. In the 9th inning, Jonny Gomes roped one back up the middle and Shane Victorino came in to score as the Sox came all the way back up to tie it at 7.

But just two batters later the bases were loaded for Daniel Nava who smashed one to straight away center and it was deep enough for the Sox to walk it off for the second straight night.
