A Soyuz spacecraft docked at the International Space Station Saturday, bringing a NASA astronaut and two Russian cosmonauts to the space station.

NASA astronaut Jeff Williams, and cosmonauts Oleg Skripochka and Alexei Ovchinin of the Russian Space Agency were onboard the Russian spacecraft.

The three are aboard for a six-month mission.

The Soyuz blasted off from Russia’s manned space launch complex in Kazakhstan several hours earlier.

Williams is on track to notch the American record for cumulative days in space — 534 over three missions.

A Russian holds the world record at 878.

Aboard the station, the three recent arrivals join American Tim Kopra, Russia’s Yuri Malenchenko and Briton Tim Peake flying for the European Space Agency.
