What a weekend! It was such a strong close to the weekend too with light winds, sun-filled skies and highs in the mid to upper 60s for most locations away from Cape Ann and Cape Cod. In fact, the 68 degrees in Boston was the warmest weather we’ve had since we hung a 74 up on October 29th. 110.6″ of snow later, it felt great to flirt with 70 again.
The problem with warm-ups we’ve had… they’ve been short-lived and followed by more consistent cold. However, this go around, early Spring weather holds it’s ground and yesterday’s weather spills into today, just in time for the boys of summer to come back for the home opening. We’ll have a stronger breeze out the the south to southwest today, as highs run close to yesterday’s, with upper 60s through the Boston metro and even a few lower 70s across northern Mass and southern New Hampshire. That south to southwest wind gusts over 20mph, drifting balls out to L/C at Fenway. Hopefully meaning a few homers for the good guys.
The next chance for rain runs in here tomorrow morning, allowing for a wet commute, and perhaps a wet lunch too. We do dry out in the afternoon and that means no rain delay at Fenway for the 6:10PM start as temps recover into the lower 60s. How about Wednesday’s game? How about a ton more sun, a bit of a breeze, and temps near 60 again? Not bad considering those April tickets often come with cool, raw, ocean air.
If you’re heading to any of the games, have fun and GOOOOOOOOO SOX!
