Spring is here but much of Massachusetts was in storm mode on Monday.

Plows were put back on trucks and crews pre-treated the roads Sunday, ahead of the morning commute.

The timing of the storm raised concern for commuters who face slick roads, and school was canceled in Plymouth due to dangerous driving conditions.

Route 3 in Plymouth gathered a thick layer of snow early Monday morning, but warmer ground temperatures kept the roads from icing over, keeping the morning commute relatively incident-free.

Some schools delayed or cancelled school for the day in anticipation of the snow. In Cohasset, parents did not get word that school was closed until their children were already on the way. The school apologized for any confusion.
