Producers have granted the wish of a terminally ill "Star Wars" fan by letting him see a rough cut of the new movie before its release.

32-year-old Daniel Fleetwood has a connective-tissue cancer called spindle cell sarcoma. He worried he wouldn’t live to see the new film.

Fleetwood’s wife Ashley started a social media campaign using the hashtag "Force for Daniel."

Actor Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker in the film, tweeted his support.

On Thursday, Fleetwood’s wife posted on Facebook saying that his dream had come true and his wish had been granted.

Director J.J. Abrams let Daniel watch an unedited version of "The Force Awakens" in their Texas home.

His wife thanked "all the amazing people who helped make this happen.”

Daniel Fleetwood is currently in hospice care at his home.
