WORCESTER, MASS. (WHDH) - State Police have arrested one man in connection with a carjacking and pursuit on Thursday in Worcester.

According to the Massachusetts State Police, troopers located a vehicle being sought by Connecticut State Police in connection with a carjacking. Police said two suspects carjacked a vehicle in Putnam, Connecticut before crashing that vehicle in Thompson, Connecticut.

The suspects then allegedly carjacked a Nissan Rogue, stabbing two occupants of the vehicle before driving away. One of the victims reportedly suffered serious injuries.

State Police said they attempted to stop the vehicle on Route 395 but the car sped away.

The vehicle was pursued into Auburn, where police said the car in question tried to intentionally strike or ram the troopers’ cruisers. Police said the vehicle continued into Worcester, attempting to turn around in a cul-de-sac when it struck a cruiser and another car on Papagin Terrace.

Police took two suspects into custody. One of those suspects, Christopher Harding, 21 of Dayville, Connecticut, is under arrest for charges in connection to the chase. The second suspect, a female passenger, has not yet been charged.
