BOSTON (WHDH) -

Two people were injured in a three car crash Saturday at the McHugh Overpass on Soldiers Field Road in Boston.

According to state police, a 33-year-old Watertown man was driving on Birmingham Parkway at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate the turn at the McHugh Overpass.

The man drove through the fencing and crashed into a car that was traveling west on Soldiers Field Road. He was taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

The driver of the other car, a 34-year-old Taunton man, was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.

After the two cars crashed, the fencing and guardrail became dislodged and fell onto another car that was traveling eastbound on Soldiers Field Road.

The driver of that car, a 19-year-old Cambridge man, and his passenger were not injured in the crash.

No charges have been filed against the Watertown man at this time.

The westbound side of Soldiers Field Road was closed for approximately one hour for investigation and cleanup.
