Massachusetts State Police are investigating a report of someone going door-to-door in Tewksbury claiming to be part of a police organization fundraising for the children of Trooper Thomas Clardy, who died in the line of duty.
The only two official funds that have been set up to collect donations for the family are:

Police are warning residents that neither the State Police nor any other police organization are collecting donations for this cause by going door-to-door or by telephone.
