Heavier showers moving through now. Thunder isn’t out of the question, but it is an outlier here. We never really got the heat in here (with highs in the low 60s) to feed the storms, but the mid levels of the atmosphere are warm, and we could have elevated storms.
Either way, downpours are part of the game plan through 11pm. Many of us will squeak away with a quarter to half inch of water when all is said and done, but isolated locations may come away with close to an inch in the heavier rain – all welcome news (except for the fact that it’s coming on Saturday night) as we whittle away at the rain deficit.
Sunday is the make-good for the weekend. Sun will dominate along with a brisk wind. Cool air will jab us in the morning, but it will ease later in the day to allow us to recover into the low/mid 60s. Not too shabby.
Overall, the pattern is busy. Mild air has the upper hand through a good part of next week, but showers may spring up both late Tuesday (mostly night) and again on Friday. No REAL cold in sight.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
