STOCKTON, CA (WHDH) — A thief in California returns a stolen package after security video of the incident was posted on social media.
The victims said the man stole an Amazon package from their front porch.
The homeowners posted the video to social media and within minutes people started commenting that they knew the man.
“Its not a big deal it’s a package I know,” says homeowner Elizabeth Montez, “but it’s the principle. Facebook showed me there are good people too and I felt like it was a unity thing, like everybody tried to help and I was really grateful for that.”
Within 24 hours the thief returned the package.
But police have not yet found the suspect.
