Some weeks I can only manage to blog about dust or my shoddy guitar playing while other weeks I’m blogging about a storm every day. This is one of those weeks I suppose that offer some weather every day. Thankfully, today’s storm won’t arrive until after sunset so we managed to avoid the rain gear and even saw some sunshine (quite a bit of sunshine inland) through the day. This next system is a cool front (with some rain showers) that will quickly move through the region later this evening and be gone by sunrise Thursday. Love that timing!

This system is gone by tomorrow but it will set up a healthy west wind for much of Thursday. That means temps will easily reach the low 60s–even the coast–by early afternoon. Quite warm for St. Patrick’s Day. Plan on more sunshine as well but alas, our next storm will be on the move and it will swing through the region during the afternoon & evening hours with some scattered showers. The key word there is scattered, so some of you may #DaftPunk and Get Lucky avoiding the showers for much of the day. In any event, tomorrow’s weather will not be a repeat of Monday/Tuesday.

Friday, it’s an arctic front that will grab headlines with a bunch of clouds and a scattering of showers. The wackiness about those showers is they may be mixed with some snow pellets as much colder air arrives late in the day…temps on Friday are near 50 but the colder air from above mixes in with that 50 degree air, sending temps into the 40s then 30s by Friday evening.

The upcoming weekend looks cold and…….a storm will form in North Carolina and begin moving north. Uh oh. There continues to be strong signals that this storm will affect us Sunday evening through Monday Morning. Even tho the track of this storm has not been established at this time, I think the chance is there for a plowable snow for much of southern New England by Monday Morning. More on this potential winter storm in the next few days.

Have fun tomorrow, be safe & happy!
