MILTON, MASS. (WHDH) - The Glover Elementary School in Milton helped guide a mother duck and her ducklings to the water.
The mother hatched her babies earlier in the day near the school’s courtyard.
Teachers and parents said this is an excellent learning opportunity for students.
“I think it teaches them compassion,” parent Wendy Garpow-Roth said. “Not just for ducks, but for all living things.”
Since the tradition began 10 years ago, the mother duck is the third to hatch her young at the elementary school.
