ROVANIEMI, Finland (WHDH) — A stunning Northern Lights display turned the sky green over Finland.

Tourists just south of the arctic circle were treated to the sight Friday night.

The Northern lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, occurs when particles from the sun hit Earth’s atmosphere.
