A Sturbridge school bus driver was arrested on Friday and charged with driving the bus while drunk.
Allison Silvestri, 49, of Sturbridge, is charged with driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, police said.
Police say Silvestri was driving the bus to the school while drunk. However, no students were on the bus, police said.
At around 2:07 p.m., police responded to a reported medical issue at Tantasqua Junior High School.
Police say, however, there was no medical emergency.
School officials and other bus drivers believed Silvestri had been having a medical issue and reported it as that, police said.
Silvestri is scheduled to be arraigned on March 14.
