Wow, just wow!  Yesterday was a beauty of a day with low humidity and tons of sunshine, great for just about any activity you had planned.  It was one of those days you wish you could bottle up and break back out in February, right?

If there was any downside yesterday, you could argue that it was just a shade on the cool side at the coast as beach temps held into the lower 70s.  That’ll argument will be no longer valid today as abundant sunshine warms us up into the 80s.  Carpe Diem!  Even the coastline nears 80 degrees before any sea breeze caps temps near there or in the upper 70s.  While the coastal communities catch a slight sea breeze to take the edge of the warmth, inland communities do not. With a full sky of sun and a dry ground, inland towns that start the morning in the upper 40s and lower 50s will have no problem reaching the middle to upper 80s. Humidity is still relatively low, so enjoy it!

The heat continues to build in for Labor Day, as many towns, away from Buzzards Bay/Cape/Islands, will near 90.  The heat and humidity stick around through Thursday of next week, with day time highs running near 90.  Tuesday will be the hottest… near 95 in some towns.  I don’t see a chance for widespread showers/storms until either Thursday afternoon or Friday, depending on the timing of the next cold front.  I know, I know, the Pats home opening is on Thursday.  Again, we’ll have to watch the timing of that front for better or for worse.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
