Another hot one yesterday with Boston hitting 91–our normal high is 77–and we have more summertime heat today. The city won’t be quite as hot but even with temps reaching the mid 80s, that’s still above normal for this time of year. Overall, the pattern is one that can (and will) produce heat over the next 6-10 days. Within this hot pattern, you can catch a break here & there That break is on the way & will be here tomorrow and into Saturday! To break this heat will require a little work–err–weather in the form of a few isolated thunderstorms. A cool front will drop into southern New England this evening sparking those isolated storms. The area most likely to see a storm will be southern NH and northern MA after 5pm and even in this location, the storms will be isolated in nature so outdoor plans should remain intact. Great beach day–no storm threat.
Tomorrow will see a nice little fall preview (not early in the morning tho) and this preview lasts into the start of the holiday weekend. Temps tomorrow afternoon will be nearly to slightly below normal–near 70! Tomorrow night and into Saturday morning is that fall preview—get those firepits cleaned out for tomorrow night!
The holiday weekend is dry all three days with the heat & humidity slowly building. Saturday is awesome–pure & easy with temps near 80 and no humidity…by Labor Day, those temps are up near 90. What a great way to close the books on summer 2015.
Have a safe & wonderful holiday weekend!
