The tail end of August is upon us, and as we finish off the month and head into September, summer weather has some staying power.

Today features more clouds mixing in with the sun, especially in the afternoon with a bit more humidity and a bit warmer of an afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 80s.  I can’t rule out a brief, isolated shower is possible this afternoon/evening, but only about 10% of us catch one.  Bottom line, expect most of the area to be dry from the golf course to the Marshfield Fair to Saint Anthony’s feast to the beach.

If today’s not warm enough for you, temps warm to 90 on Monday as August ends with some heat.

A backdoor cool front may allow Tuesday to close in on seasonal levels along the coast as winds turn onshore.  Highs Tuesday likely range from the upper 70s at the coast to mid to upper 80s inland.

Winds turn back to the west Wednesday and the 90 degree weather comes sliding right back in.

I don’t have much rain chances in the forecast, although there may be a passing showers/storm Thursday or Thursday night as a cool front comes on through.

Overall, the pattern features mainly dry and relatively warm weather through at least the first week of September.

Enjoy the weekend!
