Cool & rainy yesterday with many towns only around 70 during the day…certainly a harbinger of things to come…. but I'm here to tell you to hold off reaching for the pumpkin latte's and pumpkin beer as we still have a lot of summer in front of us. Sure, we may be losing daylight faster than I'm losing hair off my forehead but you can still get temps quite warm despite #DwindlingDaylight.
August usually offers the most humidity of the summer months as it is the month we the least amount of daylight–less evaporation of rain–and no different this year. Most towns picked up close to an inch of rain yesterday and that rainwater will slowly come out of the ground today…IE….a humid summer day is on tap with a mix of sun & clouds. That leftover humidity may lead to an isolated shower this afternoon but otherwise a great summer day on the way.
The next few days see warm temps with mainly sunny skies. Those temps will be in the low to mid 80s and there are signs that we see those temps creep on 90 by the end of the weekend/early next week. As for rain chances, only a few isolated showers are possible late Saturday afternoon-evening across New England.
Summer being summer.
